Retraction

Official Retraction! On the post Kanifees (see October on the side) I posted about knifes and named the style they were. I was wrong... oh no!!! The style of knife that I actually have is the Henkel RAZOR style. I found this out after moving and had an "Oh S#*!" moment. All my loyal blog followers have read the wrong thing! Consider it officially changed.

     *Insert standard farewell here*

     Cheers!

Blu Ray

Hello again. It's been a while, but here we go. Please note that unless otherwise stated, these are blu rays not DVD's. And they are the 3 disc edition. That gets you the Blu Ray, DVD, and digital copy for my iPad.

What a shock, I'm a Gleek. Moving on.

This was actually a surprisingly good movie, well at least for me anyways.

I like the cartoon, I like the movie. Go figure.

Good freakin' movie!!

I love it when a plan.... oh never mind.

That's it for now. Check the side for past updates, comment if you think I'm nuts.

Go Canucks Go!!!

I will admit it. I am a sellout. I like anything, ANYTHING, as long as it has the Canucks logo on it. I like to wear the clothes to work. The kids like it, and they have figured out that whenever I wear a shirt to work, there is a game on. So without further ado... let the selling out commence!!!

Yes this says Canadians. Wishbook page 356, item number C, colour code 13

There is no code for this one.

Okay... I founds this here. Not much else to say.

Wishbook. Page 354, item B, colour code 13. On the same page item C, colour code 16 would be cool as well.

And now, random Wishbook pages without pictures!!! Page 11, item 14, colour 01. Page 28, item 14, colour 06. Page 42, item 6, colour 06 (one of each... or just bath towel). Page 56, item 9 colour 17.

I'm not really picky when it comes to this stuff. These are just a few examples. The more the merrier.

Like always, check the side for past updates, comment if you think I'm nuts.

Hurry!!! Hard!!!!!

Maybe that needs some explanation. Well I have two words. Curling stuff! I have taken up curling lately. But I don't have all the supplies. All I have is a broom.

Shoes. Right now all I have is a slider on a nice new pair of shoes. Well... they're new, but they cost $15 at Wal Mart, so I guess nice doesn't really come into the equation. Importantly is the slider on the bottom. I need a slider on the left foot, because that's the foot I slide on (duh).

Pants (double duh!). Nothing special here. I can't curl in my nylon slippy pants for much longer. An actual pair of pants would be nice. With these two things, I can at least look like a good curler.

As always, check the side for old posts. Comment if you think I'm nuts.

Wii will Wii will.... never mind.

Okay, videogames. What a shocker. So yeah, not much to say. They're pretty much self explanatory. In no particular order.

Okay, so it isn't a game. However, the charging system that I have does not work very well. This Energizer model uses not contact and charges through induction. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

Look at the cover. A rehash of the original released in 1997 for the N64. The remake is being handled by Eurocom and published by Activision. They are touting the return of the infamous Goldeneye multiplayer. Seriously, as anyone who has played games since the late 90's and bring up the movie Goldeneye. It will inevitably turn to the game, I guarantee.

A throwback to overhead RPG's made popular on the SNES. Borrows heavily from the Legend of Zelda series and is quite proud of it.
I have the first one that was released back in 2008. You play the part of Darth Vader's secret apprentice that is very adept with the force. Vader, of course, seeing his chance to overthrow the emperor trains this boy from his youth to be a Dark Side powerhouse. Vader did betray him, which led to his apprentice's eventual death to protect the fledgling rebellion that he helped start. In the sequel, you play as a clone of the apprentice... or do you?

Donkey Kong Country was a series made popular with three entries on the SNES. In my humble opinion only the first two were great, with a third effort that excluded Donkey Kong himself (I know!). This game is being handled by the capable folks at Retro Studio, a Texas based game developer. They have earned Nintendo's praise with their steller Metroid Prime Trilogy, a re-imagining of the great heroin Samus for the first time as a first person shooter.

Okay, so Sonic is way old school. He has not translated to 3D very well. I can't think of a good one. Well, this one is supposed to be the second coming of Sonic. All preliminary reports say that it is the best 3D sonic in years. Heres hoping!
Okay, I know a Mickey game sounds odd. Back in the day of the SNES he had lots of fun challenging outings. I can still remember playing The Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse for hours. This game revolves around Mickey entering a sort of dumping ground for all the forgotten and unused Disney characters. It features a new paint mechanic where, using a magical brush, you can erase the world with paint thinner, or repair the world with paint. You travel through Mickey's old cartoons and some new ones. It looks quite exciting. The picture shown is the Collectors Edition, not necessarily required.

So this one is pretty self explanatory. This is EA's first hockey game on the Wii. It comes with the stick peripheral to play with. It controls well, and looks well to boot. Plus the Great One is on the box. Can't go wrong. Plus the ad on TV is hilarious.

That's it then. All the games and accessories I can think of today. As always, check the side for past updates, comment if you think I'm nuts!

Kanifees (Knives to those who speak english)

As you all know, I enjoy cooking. One thing that I really don't have (thank you separation) is a good set of knives. Last christmas I got one from Grandma Taylor. It was a 7" Santoku knife.
Oooh, aaahhh.

So, I am always looking for new knives. However, I would like to stay within the same style. The style is a Henkel Zwilling Twin Cuisine. Seeing as I already have a Santoku knife, I am looking for the following.
6" or 8" Chef's Knife

4" Paring Knife
Serated Utility Knife
8" Carving Knife

8" Bread Knife (I make a lot of bread these days)

They do come in gift sets BTW.

So there it is folks. As always, check the side for past updates, comment if you think I'm nuts.

Yes.... belt buckles

So yeah, belt buckles. Last year I got an Autobot belt buckle, and I am always open to get some more. Which ones you ask, well let the pictures speak for themselves.

So yeah. Not much to say about it. From top to bottom; Legend of Zelda, Ghostbusters (duh!), and Batman (double duh!). The Ghostbusters one is actually is in Sears Wishbook in the gifts under $$$ section. There also exists belt buckle booths in most major malls.
Till next week check the side for past updates, comment if you think I'm nuts.

And the first addition is.......

I bet you all think that it's going to be something big like a TV or video games. Well you're all wrong! It's actually something for my kitchen (big surprise).

So I am back at work as you all know. I get up early enough, but I never seem to have time to make a cup of coffee. I could stop at Timmy's on the way to work, but there are two slight problems with that. 1) It's waaaayyy too busy. By the time I get my coffee and go, I'll be late for work. 2) I'm not made of money. Who do you all think I am, Rockafeller?

Here is my solution. A Keurig single cup coffee maker.

Now the cool thing about these things are that it only makes a single cup of coffee, and they use what they call K-cups.

These are inserts that fit into the filter spot and are self contained pods of coffee (or tea, or hot chocolate etc.) that you use and throw away when you're done. Plus, there's virtually no clean up which, if you know me, is  a GOOD THING.

They are carried at most major retailers. I know London Drugs in Campbell River carries them, they are on the Sears website, and I can only assume Wal-Mart carries them. For more info please consult the Keurig website.

Well, until next week. Don't forget to check the side for past updates, and please comment below if you think I am insane.

     Cheers!

And they said I couldn't do it

Hello all,
If you are reading this then you probably know me. If you don't know me, what are you doing here? Welcome anyways, please enjoy the show!
I have had an interesting tradition every year at Christmas. I find new and interesting ways to present my list, and my parents always look forward to how I am doing it. A few years ago I did a simple slide show of my list with pictures and music to go with it. Last year, I made a DVD with selectable chapters that jumped to each item, and each item had text on where to get it. The whole thing was a music video set to "My Grown up Christmas List".
So here we are this year. Someone asked me how I would top last year, and this is what I came up with. Every week starting the middle of September I will be adding one to two items to this blog with links of where to get them. The updates will continue until November 1st. That way it gives everyone time to get what they need to get.
Well, that's all for now. See you in a week.

Cheers!
